How to get people to your Blog!?

OK… I guess everyone knows how easy it is to make a blog. Just go to www.blogger.com, www.wordpress.com and etc and within 5 minutes, you got your blog.

What’s next… there are millions of blogs in the internet, what makes your blog so special that it can be “recognised” or easily searched by search engines.

Unless you are one of those few that prefer to have your blog in private, most people will welcome other people (especially like-minded people) to come to their blog and post comments or browse around.

There are many ways to promote your blog as I had mentioned previously or somewhere in the internet.

Basically these websites actually pings your blog with many content hungry sites that will “check up” your blog for the latest information and post it on the net so that people can find.

Recently, there are also other means for your blog to be recognised. John Reese had setup BlogRush with much fanfare. However, many people misused the system and right now, it is undergoing a major revamp. However, statistics collection is still ongoing. You can sign up first or just take a peek at it.

What it does is it will put up a small panel on your blog with related information (that you selected). In this way, it helps to promote other peoples’ blog and vice versa, your blog may also appear on other peoples’ blog.

This is a simple yet effective method to promote your blog.

Your blog in your email signature
Your blog in any forum email signature
Word of mouth from you or your friends
Your friendster, FaceBook, MySpace accounts with your blog address in your profile.
