Have you wonder? (Part 3)
… Part 3 con’t
Actions from ME.
- On 12th June, I finally took an action and bought a domain: http://www.jt-inc.com
- It was a domain that I thought as an experiment on the virtual world of Second Life.
- I became a designer in Second Life.
- I communicate and joined ventured with fellow Singaporeans and end up splitting profits with them, leveraging on their land, building skills and shop front. Of course, they are also leveraging on my photography skill and designs of my clothing range.
- At the same time, I took another channel to sell my clothings through some online store.
- For about a month or more, no sales came in.
- However, patience pays off as the traffic increases.
- Also, at the same time, advertisement for these products also increases. We give free clothing, free parties and by Word of Mouth, more traffic goes to the shop front.
Why am I talking about a Virtual World? Reason is simple;
it has the same economy as the real world. However, as everything is virtual, risk is lesser.
What have I learn from my virtual business?
1. We must TAKE MASSIVE Action
2. We need to COMMUNICATE
3. We can leverage on people to perform certain tasks.
4. We need to be patience.
5. We need to advertise.
6. We need more channels to promote.
7. We can make use of Word of Mouth as the best advertising tools.
Ok. I was really energized by my own effort. One day, while surfing the net, I saw a Internet marketing resource. It sounds interesting and I bought it. I took a look at what I had and was overwhelmed by the information provided. I setup a website with their custom tools as an affiliate. The website is http://www.joeteh.com. That was in August.
Thing doesn’t goes well. I did not sell anything. I was a bit worried. I surf the net again and founded Ewen Chia’s Affiliate of the Month….
